Another day at the Dog Show
August 4, 2008
The books have closed on another Richmond Dog Fancier show. This is the 3rd year I have traveled to Northern California to participate on the show committee for Wanda Spediacci. This year I filled the role of Assistance Show Chair. This is a large show with 15 rings and 1700 plus dogs. It is a great learning experience for me.
We have 4 indoor rings and 11 outdoor rings, there is also several onsite clinics, ICSB, Cardiac, a mobile Vet Services which did onsite OFA Xray and DNA testing, a BAER Testing clinic, All Breed Temperment testing and a CGC test.
There is also a pretty large gate and lots of general public.
We had a nice entry and lots of nice people and dogs
We have several specialities and supported entries and several clubs and groups have their meetings or lunches of the grounds. The Pem folks invited me to their Pem lunch, they had some really good looking food but I was working and didn’t get to stay.
We also had an Ice Cream Social for our exhibitors and guest!
