UKC news

Update: Here are a couple of the photos proofs that Leslie got from the UKC shows this past weekend, I’ll post the official choice when it is received.
This weekend Leslie and the KeelMtn Corgis were doing UKC shows in Tennessee. I think she had a pretty good weekend. Our Candy girl got a group 2 and group 3. She went group 2 behind the Pem who went Best in Show. Not only did Candy do well but Cheery, Leslie’s young Pem finished her UKC Championship.
Someday we will try a UKC show, there are not any shows around here but we have registered PJ with the UKC and hopefully when PJ goes east to visit we will be able to finish his UKC titles as well. He and Candy’s puppies will be dual registered with both the AKC and UKC.

Candy needs new pics! I want to see how she’s grown!
We had new photos taken this weekend that I think will come out pretty well. She and her best bud Cheery are sad victims of “youngest child syndrome”. LOL! There are a billion pictures of the first corgis, and not so much of the later corgis, poor things! 2 of our 4 judges this weekend are also AKC judges, so I was especially pleased to do well under them. Cheery finished her CH with a Group 4. The weather was just breathtaking and there were !cows! in the pasture next to us wihich was real fun.
Cows? And you were still able to show? LOL!
The cows weren’t too bad, BUT . . .
You try handing off one of 2 girls who adore each other and their mother and have the handed off one show with someone she doesn’t know. It is not pretty! Poor, unsuspecting junior handler! We did find out that Cheery can go around the ring backward!
Leslie,
I have Candy’s 1/2 sister (Rowdy kid), Galaxy. Galaxy is rather similar to Candy, so I expect she’ll mature similarly.
I’m hoping that someday, Galaxy will quit being a “bean pole” puppy, and will fill out! LOL
Yes, she’s taking her time, but I knew that in advance so I’m not surprised. In the meantime, we’re showing once in a while so we don’t forget how and in a couple of weeks she’ll make her debut in the Rally ring. It also doesn’t hurt that she’s the easiest dog in the world to live with – aisde from the MOUTH on her! She’s definitely Marla’s girl, the mouth of the South. I’m sorry, but none of the Pems were ever so noisy. 🙂
Poor Candy, her momma calls her names! Just for you Emily there are some updated photos, Leslie promises more to come.
I love the one of her stretching! She is a pretty red girl, but of course I am partial to red cardi’s. Thanks for updating with the new pictures.
