Fall Foliage

November 28, 2008

Today we took a drive up thur the Mesilla Valley in New Mexico, this part of the Rio Grande is in between El Paso and Las Cruces, NM.  We had a very enjoyable day, we did some more geocaching and the went to Old Mesilla to have lunch at La Posta http://www.laposta-de-mesilla.com/.  We enjoyed some more great Mexican food, this time with a New Mexican flavor.

It was a nice day to explore the valley, we saw cotton and pecans being harvested and enjoyed the plaza and it’s shops in Old Mesilla.  Our weather has been mild and the Southwest foliage is lovely this year.

We stopped at Stahmanns Farms http://www.stahmanns.com/ and enjoyed their pecans.  I love driving thru the pecan groves.

An interesting change from the fall pictures of the northeast — very pretty!
