Sky Watch Friday
December 12, 2008
I’m not much of a morning person. The dogs get me up early but I’m not very aware of my world. Monday morning I saw a glow out the window and was able to catch this color over the back fence. It proved the old saying “Red sky at morning Sailor take warning” We had a big storm come thru later in the afternoon and there was even snow on the Franklin Mountains.

Oh wow! I captured something similar once at sunset. I was afraid the shot would look horrible ’till I uploaded it and the orange glow was amazing! I am glad you got up early to get this one. Nice job. I’m looking at the sky here.
Uhh! Nice shot, the colors looks like burning lava.. very nice! Happy skywatching! 🙂

It was really worth that shot to get out at monday morning.
I’m with you on the morning thing…but once in awhile it’s worth it to see skies like these!
i’m not a morning person myself but the effort to wake up early is always worth it when you see something as beautiful as this.
I’m like you – not a morning person 🙂 But yes, it’s worth getting up to capture such a beautiful photo.
Dogs can force us to see a lot of beautiful things! What a lovely shot.
Perfect catch for Skywatch! Mine’s up too hope you can visit.. Have a nice weekend!
I’m a morning person if I’d had time to sleep out, and when that happens (which is very rare), I LOVE going out early in the morning… Sometimes we take the dogs for a walk, sometimes the horses. I loved your sky, it was really beautiful!

lovely shot…the doggies are so cute…nice to see the overweight one shedding pounds and with a spark in its eyes…so good.
thanks for sharing.
Good for the puppies, or we wouldn’t have this lovely photo. I liked seeing their picture as well. Too, too cute.
