Little Dogs
I can’t believe the babies will be 9 weeks old on Saturday, they were just born! I have enjoyed this litter so much and as sad as I will be to see them go I’m excited about their new homes.
Zippy will be the 1st to leave Solstice and he has the biggest trip, Zippy will be flying to Chicago on Monday, May 4th to begin life at High Ridge with Sharrie.
Then next weekend we will be traveling to Albuquerque, NM for the Rio Grande Kennel Club dog show and Bonnie will stay behind with Harry at Arylan. After we get home from NM Charlie will be going home with Cody. Cody is going with us to the dog show to check out the doggy sports so Charlie will be with the family until we get back and then he will take up residence in his new home.
Little Bailey won’t have time to miss her sibs before we pack up again and head back to Albuquerque to meet up with Harry and the Arylan gang to caravan up to Cortez, CO for the Durango Kennel Club shows. After those shows we will be home most of the summer.
So for the next few days I’m going to enjoy my home time with the babies before they head out to become little dogs.
I know this is all part of what you do, but I don’t think I would be able to part with any or them! Good thing my dog, Xena was fixed or I’d have bunches of Husky mixes running around! Lol. Hugs to all the babies!
This litter wasn’t so bad because only one is really going away. Bonnie is going to my Kennel partner so I’ll see her often and Charlie is going to a good friend here at home and I’ll see him all the time. Only sweet Zippy is going away and I’m excited about what a nice home he will have.
I can’t believe they’re that old! I’m glad you had so much fun with them. 🙂
Your turn is coming! I have enjoyed them so much, they are a delightful bunch and Lindy was such a natural Momma dog that it helped. My GSP Windy was not a great Momma, she was done with them as soon as they had teeth but Lindy still looks out for them even now.
Time flies! It seems like only yesterday…
Hello there,
Lovely blog!
Understand perfectly the bitter sweet feelings sadness of letting puppies go and grow up to become dogs in various new homes. Yes, they do grow up so fast!
And happy that they have found new homes …
