It looks like you ate a watermelon!

June 2, 2009

We had a leftover watermelon from our Memorial Day BBQ and neither Mom or I are huge watermelon fans so I gave it a big toss out into the yard and this is the results.  I was surprised at how much the enjoyed their “kill”.  Mom and Cody said they looked like a pride of lions.

My boys are so envious! They absolutely love watermelon but only get bits and pieces after I’ve had some. Yours had a real feast!

Big game hunters at work! How cute they are all scarfing down the treat. I might have to let my guys try that, although I would expect mine to roll in it.

Just give it a toss into the yard, it will break open and they will have a blast, I might have to get them another one when they are on sale.

Looks good!!! I know ours love almost any kind of fruit…I have to fight them off when I am eating mine, and I save a little out for them as special treats, if they are good and let me eat first! LOL

My guys love fruit too, they are not patiently waiting for the figs to ripen, they are already pulling the green ones off.

      Esther,

It made me think of Niger! I don’t know if you have lions there but they looked like a pride of lions with their kills. They loved it and I’m thinking I may still have time to try and grow a watermelon for the end of the summer for them to have again.
