Puppies, Puppies, Puppies!
Between Solstice and Arylan there are lots of puppies planned for the last part of 2009 and the 1st part of 2010. Seems like it always happens that way, none for a long time and then a bunch all at once.
Arylan is expecting a litter next week (Chickie x Kiefer aka Oscar), you can follow that litter’s progress at www.arylan.com or on the Facebook Arylan puppy page.
Lindy has also been bred to Kiefer aka Oscar and we are eagerly awaiting signs of puppies coming. I’m looking for a special girl from this litter since this is a pedigree match up I’m very excited about for the future at Solstice. If this breeding took it will the Liberty litter since Kiefer’s registered name is Arylan Tribute to Liberty and I was coordinating the breeding while I was in Boston, MA soaking up American History.
PJ is currently at Arylan hanging out waiting for his date with June Carter sometime later in the month.

It was a really nice weekend for the Solstice gang.

So everyone got points and everyone got some good practice in the group. The Flea did very well and we learned a lot about grooming and presentation of the Brussels Griffon.
We are off to the Toy Group shows on Thursday for some more Griff lessons and then the All Breed shows on Saturday and Sunday at the Valencia Valley KC shows in Los Lunas, NM
A quick show update – From Frost
Hey it’s me Frost! I’m the winner!!
We are at the dog show and today I was WB/BOW/BOB and I got to show in the group. It was raining but I was a real good girl! Charlie won today too, his Momma Cody showed him and it was her 1st dog show. We had a nice judge.
Yesterday the Brat won, Bailey was WB/BOW/BOB and Mom was excited cause she got “pulled” in group. Big deal she didn’t get a ribbon or anything for that, but it did make Mom happy. Charlie won yesterday too but Mom showed him because his Mom, Auntie Cody had to work and could play with us yesterday.
We have two more days, so stay tuned and stay cool,

Going to a dog show
Finally! I haven’t been to a show with my dogs since the 1st of June. We have 3 of the 4 class dogs and the Flea to show. It will be Bailey, Charlie and Sienna’s 1st show. We have 4 days in Alamogordo, NM and then we move to Los Lunas, NM for 4 more days. The Flea shows at the Toy group shows in Los Lunas and then we have a supported Cardi entry on Saturday. We only have 2 points at the supported entry which was disappointing but people are not traveling as much so not many of our non NM Cardi folks are entered. These will be my only shows for the fall and I’ll be staying home over the winter.
Visit to Arylan
I’m back from my visit to Arylan, I left Lindy with Harry to be bred to the handsome young Kiefer. We got one breeding done while I was there and Lindy will spend the next 10 days with Harry and then I’ll pick her up when we are in NM for the Valencia Valley KC dog shows.

Rob and Nancy, Kiefer’s people were very nice to let him come and stay with Harry too, I’m sure he is “enjoying” his time there.

Ok, not really, we are talking about puppies. I’m getting ready to leave to take Lindy up for her “date” with Kiefer at Arylan and if the breeding takes puppies will be due around Thanksgiving time.

This is a bit of an unorthodox breeding since Kiefer is young and “fluffy” but his pedigree and conformation were so pretty that I really wanted him. Harry had his hips prelimed and the Xrays look good and Lindy is DNA fluffy free so there won’t be any fluffy kids.
I’m looking for a special girl out of this litter and if anyone is interested in a puppy out of this litter please let me know so I can keep you informed. I don’t take deposits but I do keep a list of interested parties.
Back to our regularly scheduled program
While I was out of town Miss Lindy came is season so we are making plans to take her to meet her intended. He is a very nice boy with a pretty pedigree. Oscar is Arylan Tribute to Liberty and black and white fluffy boy.
