To my puppy people
The Fab 4 are doing great so far, maybe we should call them the Fat 4!
The way thing stand right now is there will only be one puppy available for placement. One will be staying here at Solstice and one will be going up the road to Arylan in Albuquerque, NM. The 3rd will be staying here in El Paso with Miss Cody which leaves the 4th one for placement. Of course they are still to0 young to evaluate so we don’t know who is going where yet. I know some of you just want a girl or just want a boy but since I don’t know who will be available I can’t promise anything.
So I’m gathering info on who has puppies coming so that I can help you find a responsibly bred Cardigan puppy from a breeder who will support and assist you with your puppy. Of course I hope you all stick around until the Candy x PJ litter is born around the 3rd week of April because I’m sure there will be some lovely puppies in that litter too.
So if you are still interested please email at solsticecwc@gmail.com and let me know if you are set on a boy or a girl (I know the answer from some of you) and if we don’t have a puppy that will fit I have some names and contact info to refer you too to help you find the right puppy for you.

I was going to call them John, Paula, Georgie and Ringo but Grandma Ginger didn’t like those puppy box names so we are still working on them 🙂

Goodbye little one
Our littlest one went away last nite. What ever was wrong with him Lindy and I were not able to overcome. Mother Nature knows what Mother Nature knows. Of course you get attached to the ones you spend the most time with, I was sorry to lose him.
I have some great people on my puppy buyer list that I’m not going to have a puppy for out of this litter. We have the Candy x PJ litter coming up at the end of April so hopefully there will be more puppies available from that litter. So any of my blogger buddies who are expecting puppies let me know so I can help these good folks find responsibly bred puppies.

These are not tribbles and Yes! Cardigans Shed!
Of course PJ is entered in the nationals so what does he (and Henry) do, blow coat. This is 2 dogs with a regular pin brush.
Well actually 3 dogs since Wicca wanted a brushing too so there is a little German SHORTHAIRED Pointer coat in the pile too.
Week Two
The babies are 2 weeks old today and the big four Tri Boy, Big Brindle Boy, Angel Spot Girl and Little Blaze Girl are doing great. Unfortunately Big Blaze Boy is not thriving. I’m hopeful that we can turn the corner and he will start to thrive. Lindy and I are doing the best we can for him but Mother Nature knows what Mother Nature knows.
A Frost Report
Frost here:
I went to weight loss group and I was 16lbs I’m growing like a weed, that is what the ladies say anyway. Grandma is mad at me cause I keep peeing on the rug, but I know she loves me a lot.
I really wish the babies were old enough to play with, I really want to hang out in the bed room with Momma but Auntie Lindy doesn’t like me in there but Momma lets me come an lay on the bed and chew a bone, I can only be still for a few minutes but I try.
Week One photos
Here are some individual photos of the babies taken this morning. I don’t have the camera or skills that my friend Harry has over at Arylan but at least you can see their markings. I’ll post them in their birth order.
This Tri Boy he is the biggest one and Lindy seems to love on him alot, maybe cause he is the only one that looks like her:

This is Angel spot girl, my Mom Ginger says her neck mark looks like an angel with flowing hair:
This is Little blaze, she was our tiny girl at birth but she is catching up.
This is Big Blaze he is a little lighter brindle than the other 3 brindle babies.
I changed backgrounds after I took this one because the color didn’t make the puppies show up very well.
Everyone is gaining weight and Lindy is still being a wonderful mommy.
The Frost Report
Hey! It’s me Frost,
Lots going on around here, I’m not sure I like this baby thing. Momma says I’ll like them later but right now they take up lots of Momma’s time and I don’t get to see Auntie Lindy to much and she isn’t very happy to see me. Of course the good news is that Daddy’s home and I get to spend more time with him out in the yard. I still get to see Uncle Stoney and play on the “stuff” in the yard. Momma gets mad if I try to get on the tippy thing.
Grandma has been spending lots of time with me, she said if I would quit peeing on the floor I might get to come over when Momma isn’t home. I haven’t figured out the big deal about peeing on the floor.
I get to see my people buddies on Mondays when they all come to Grandma for weight loss day. I get to get on the scale too, I am 15 lbs now and I lost some teeth.
Just wanted to give you an update.

Hot Momma
To all of you out in blogger land who are still having winter, I’m sorry. We are having an early spring her in El Paso, it was 84 degrees here.
Makes it easier to keep the whelping box warm for the babies but Lindy and I think it is hot!
The babies are doing well, I’m going to leave the room tonight for a couple of hours, and tomorrow I have to go back to work. I think the babies will be fine but Lindy will be upset, she wants me in the room all the time. I guess she figures I got her into this mess I had better back her up.
