Watching the WKC
I was happy when I saw they had split the Herding and Sporting group because then I could talk to my Herding family on one day and my Sporting family on the next but………… that didn’t exactly happen. 1st I have a standing group meeting on Monday, at least it was at the house so I spent the 1st night explaining the dog show and the breeds to my non dog show friends and of course chasing the puppy. Then last night during the Sporting group I traditionally pick apart the Sporting dogs with my friends and mentors the Flynn’s from Boston, I’ve been doing it for about 12 years, not exactly this year, I missed the 1st half of the group because I didn’t get home in time, saw Val and the GSP go around the ring, the the whole time I was trying to talk to Linda and Kevin I was chasing the puppy. Thank goodness for the DVR I’ll watch it later because I spent most of the live event, you guessed it, chasing the puppy.
I kept telling her to watch the big time and learn but she could have cared less.
Congrats to all the winners and participates at the Garden, always an exciting times and I’m so happy the USA network shows it and that David Frei is the spokesman for the WKC and he does such a great job speaking for all of us in the dog world.
WKC = Superbowl of Dogs
Congrats to our Cardi friend Lisa Phillips and her lovely boy Powell and everyone on team Powell for their BOS award at Westminister today. Also congrats to our blogger buddy Sarah and her Hawk’s AOM in the Vallhund ring.
Leaving on a Jet Plane
It seems like this spring is for puppies, Frost is here and it looks like Lindy is expecting and then Friday Leslie called to let me know that Candy is now in season. Of course this was the worst time for me to me driving to Keel Mountian as we had planned. I wanted to take PJ to Leslie so we could visit but Candy had other plans. I’ve got several things going on that did not allow me to have Candy sent here and since the repro vet situation isn’t the greatest here in El Paso we decided to send PJ to Keel Mountian so on Valentine’s day PJ will be flying non-stop to Atlanta to take his super sperm to visit Candy and Auntie Leslie. So hopefully some time after mid April there will PJ x Candy puppies in Alabama.
This is a super pedigree so we are excited about it.

PJ’s babies
Polly sent some puppy pictures from the 1st two pups to go home.

This is Java (formerly Candybar) who belongs to Susan

And this future agility star is Phoebe (formerly Snow) who belongs to Margaret.
Aren’t they growing up cute!
Is she or isn’t she?
We still don’t know if Lindy is expecting or not, she is showing signs but since I never witnessed a tie and Lindy and PJ were only alone for a little while one afternoon I thought I’d missed it. If she is having puppies they will be due around the 3rd of March. Dr. Barb tried to palpate last weekend but she said it was past the time she could normally feel something.
Here are some photos I took today. I’ll get Xrays a little later on to see what we might have going on in there 🙂

The Frost Report
The Frost Report:
Well it as been a week since my long trip in a Van with the big white fluffy dogs. I thought I’d list some of the important things in my life now:
1. I love my Mom and Grandma they are pretty fun and they feed me.
2. I think Auntie Lindy, Uncle Henry and Daddy PJ are pretty fun. They play with me and I like them. Grumpy Stoney just barks and me and Wicca the tall scares me but she mostly ignores me.
3. I Mom throws the ball and I chase it and if I bring it back to her she will throw it again.
4. I help Mom keep the house clean by picking up everything I find on the floor. She then takes in away and throws it in the trash.
5. I will sleep in my crate all night but I hate being in the Xpen or the puppy pen by myself.
6. I learned to use the doggy door but Mom really won’t let me cause it is too tall for a puppy.
7. Even if I yell really loud Mom won’t take me out of the Xpen until she is good and ready.
8. I love rawhide chewies and my buster cube.
9. I’m dirty like the rest of the Solstice dogs
10. All water bowls and buckets were put there to be played in and water spilled all over.
That’s all for now. I’m staying with Grandma tonight while Mom’s away on a trip.
Frost out

PJ is such a good boy!
This last weekend I entred PJ in Rally in Hobbs. I don’t really know what I was thinking because poor PJ and all my dogs are like the preacher’s kids. I help other people train their dogs but I never train my own. So the last time PJ had ANY rally work was in November when I took him into the ring at the Coronado KC rally trial. He got his 1st Q there with a 3rd place. Sunday after a little warm up on Saturday afternoon he went into the rally ring un-trained or practiced and did everything I asked him (well almost everything he forgot his down) and got another Q and 2nd place. So our evil plan is try and finish our Rally Novice title at the CWCCA nationals in Topeka KS. So I have until April to actually train my dog and maybe we can get a 1st place and win the prize that Auntie Leslie sponsored.
Here are some cute photos my cousin Bonnie sent of us Geocacheing at Thanksgiving. PJ, he is up for anything.

PJ and Joe Robert in November 08

Ok these next two photos are cute kid photos that my cousin sent, they have nothing to do with PJ being a good boy.
