UKC news
Update: Here are a couple of the photos proofs that Leslie got from the UKC shows this past weekend, I’ll post the official choice when it is received.
This weekend Leslie and the KeelMtn Corgis were doing UKC shows in Tennessee. I think she had a pretty good weekend. Our Candy girl got a group 2 and group 3. She went group 2 behind the Pem who went Best in Show. Not only did Candy do well but Cheery, Leslie’s young Pem finished her UKC Championship.
Pip’s Pups
We are less than 3 weeks away from Pip’s pups. They are due on 11/5 but since this is her first litter we shall see when they arrive. I’m hoping Polly sends photos of Pip but stay tuned for updates on the litter. Depending on who and what arrives there may be puppies available from this litter. If you are interested drop us a line.

Herding Group Photos
Phyllis of Team Ruya http://professionalhandler.com/home sent me these photos of PJ and Ryan in the Herding group on Saturday. I had planned to take some photos but of course the battery went dead on the camera while I was sitting there waiting. PJ showed great for Ryan, even in the rain and bad weather.
Fun Weekend
We made it home from our fun weekend in Los Lunas, NM. We had a exellent weekend, today was not as successful as Saturday but a good day non the less. Lindy was WB/BOW/BOS, Henry was WD but did not cross over for the points. The judge said that she knew we wanted the points to cross over but she though Lindy was lovely and she just couldn’t cross the points. PJ didn’t win the breed today, he wasn’t showing near as well today, he was a bit of a slug in the ring, he was very pooped after yesterday.
The positive side of not winning the breed and getting to leave early was that we got to go by Harry’s and spend a couple of hours of relaxation and play. It is so nice to just let the gang out and play after being cooped up in the RV. Plus it is nice to have nice temperments that we can just let them all hang out together, even the puppies.
A red letter day
Today we were entered in the VVKC dog show in Los Lunas, NM. We had a great day. Henry was the only dog entered and there were 2 points in girls and 2 dog specials. We won everything :-). Henry was WD/BOW, Lindy was WB/BOS and PJ was BOB and got a pull in the group.
PJ’s auntie Ryan showed him for Kathy and I today and he did great, I was very proud of him. They did a great job even in the pouring rain. The weather was dismal, it was WINDY all day and then there was a thunderstorm and rain during the groups.
I planned to get a photo of the 3 winners but the weather was so horrid I skipped it. We we will see what the weather is like tomorrow.
No matter how bad the weather we had a wonderful day!!!

Top 10
Grandma Marian sent us some photos of the lovely Momma dog Spirit. Spirit is currently ranked as a Top 10 Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
I first saw this lovely red girl at the CWCCA nationals, I fell in love. I thought she was one of the most beautiful Cardigan. I started following her career and when I found out she had been bred, I knew I had to have a puppy. I’m so blessed to have PJ and I’m so happy that Marian sent him to Kathy and I and I’m the lucky one since the sweet boy lives with me.
Just a note about the photo, the Cardigan Pinata was a donation to the raffle from the SW Cardigan Welsh Corgi group to the national club, it was won by one of the members of the CWCCWR and they used it in their win photos. The Pinatas were made here in El Paso and we hauled the Pinata litter in a U-haul to the nationals in CA. It was a crack up, since I left El Paso with nothing but the Pinatas in the U-haul, of course with 3 women and 7 Cardigans we filled it up when I got to AZ to pick up Kathy and Jennifer.
