CH, IABCA INT CH Vestavia Good Trouble at Solstice, FCAT, UL-1, SD-1 – MARCHER

“Speak up, speak out, get in the way,” Lewis urged the crowd from that notorious bridge, a few months before his death. “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.” – John Lewis

I guess I need to finally get around to making Marcher his own page. Such a good boy.

Marcher came to us from our friend Cathy Ochs-Cline of Vestavia. She knew I was looking for a special boy, and her Quiz x Rune litter had something just for me. I have been waiting for a special boy to use the special name inspired by the John Lewis quote. I wanted to be able to reference it anytime I was asked about the name, and when this serious but fun Black Brindle boy arrived, I knew I had the right boy to match the special name. We laugh about Marcher’s ownership group, most time when you see a dog with multiple co-owners it usually means someone is backing the dog with money for a show career, not so with Marcher’s 4 additional co-owners. He is co-owned by my circle, in order of proximity, Cody Smith – GA, Leslie Reed-AL, Kathy Davis-AZ, and Ellen Kidd-Tennesse, a special dog deserved a special family. I am excited to share him with my friends.

Marcher and JeffJeff and Strider and Hoops are Bros, I call them the members of the Beta Rho Alpha Theta Fraternity (Leslie calls my house the Frat house) and they are all good-tempered boys.

Marcher has his team which let’s him do all the things, he is in the breed ring with me and he has been successful showing with me from the scooter, and he finished on his 3rd birthday after being out of the ring for almost a year. We did it together earning points via the scooter from either the puppy or AOH class.

He quickly earned his BCAT in 5 runs and earned his first 2 NASDA title Urban Locating and Shed Dog Level 1s with Cody and myself. He is doing Barnhunt and Scentwork with me and Agility with Cody. Hopefully he will meet some sheep this fall and start some Rally with Cody too.

We love our Marcher man!

He is as healthy inside as outside. He is clear for all tested genetic issues. OFA hips are pending, but the X-rays look good.  Cosmetically, he carries coat but he does not carry “pink” aka ee but he does carry black.
