Zippy do da Day
***Update*** Zippy has arrived safe and sound and from the sound of it happy! You can follow his life on Sharrie’s blog http://highridgehighlights.blogspot.com/, I told her that I should have put it in her contract that he must appear as a regular on her blog.
A bittersweet day for sure, Zippy left us today for HighRidge Farms, he is currently on the airplane and I’m anxiously waiting for him to arrive in Chicago and meet his new Mom Sharrie.
He is the 1st to leave, Bonnie will stay will Harry next weekend and Charlie will move to Cody’s house next week.
I’m happy but sad too.
Little Dogs
I can’t believe the babies will be 9 weeks old on Saturday, they were just born! I have enjoyed this litter so much and as sad as I will be to see them go I’m excited about their new homes.
Zippy will be the 1st to leave Solstice and he has the biggest trip, Zippy will be flying to Chicago on Monday, May 4th to begin life at High Ridge with Sharrie.

Then next weekend we will be traveling to Albuquerque, NM for the Rio Grande Kennel Club dog show and Bonnie will stay behind with Harry at Arylan. After we get home from NM Charlie will be going home with Cody. Cody is going with us to the dog show to check out the doggy sports so Charlie will be with the family until we get back and then he will take up residence in his new home.
Little Bailey won’t have time to miss her sibs before we pack up again and head back to Albuquerque to meet up with Harry and the Arylan gang to caravan up to Cortez, CO for the Durango Kennel Club shows. After those shows we will be home most of the summer.
So for the next few days I’m going to enjoy my home time with the babies before they head out to become little dogs.
Feeling Naaked!
The dogs have all blown coat and Lindy has decided to go to the show in ABQ wearing her summer suit but that naked isn’t what I’m talking about.
I left my CELL PHONE at HOME! No phone, no personal email, what am I going to do! At least I can access the blog from work so I have some sort of contact with the outside world. I’m trapped in my work cube without my people! Help!
Going Green
I mentioned earlier that the Solstice puppies get nothing but the best toys, a fig branch, the recycled Shopvac box and now in an effort to recycle more things the puppies got a new fun toy. I went shopping today and went by one of my favorite stores, the Crocs Store! I got a new pair of Crocs (yes I own other shoes but no I hardly wear anything but Crocs). Since I got new ones the babies got parts of the old ones. The heel straps make wonderful puppy toys. A small green step :-).
I think Crocs should start making puppy toys, they love Crocs too.
Sky Watch Friday
It has been awhile since I have any sky watch photos but here are a few from the last couple of weeks, these shots are of New Mexico Skies.

Adventure puppies
The babies are growing up and they are into everything. It is a good thing puppies are so dang cute because if they weren’t nobody would want them! I’m always chasing them around making sure they aren’t into anything. The brindle brigade is normally easy to round up but I’m continually asking “where is Charlie” that boy is into everything.
We have had nice weather for the past few days so the babies have been out in the yard with me the last few days, they have never worried about anything in the outside world you put them down and they are off……………….

I’m not sure if Bailey wanted a drink or a swim but she got herself in and out of the bucket.

How cute is this face! Zippy on the move.

Charlie is Frost’s favorite.

This video is what Frost and Charlie do whenever they are together.
At least they all went to sleep when I put them to bed.
They really are a lot of fun!
Even the big dog think so, they don’t like being left out.

PJ and Frost are already wearing their Jail Dog stripes, all they need is a tin cup to rattle along their cell door.
Daddy’s home!
We picked up Mr PJ yesterday from Julie’s. I’m so glad he is home, I missed his happy face. Everyone was glad to see him, well Henry could have done with out his return, but they are pretty good buddies most of the time. PJ spent yesterday evening doing what ever good boy dog does, remarking everything upright to re-establish his territory.
I hear he was a good boy and showed well for our friend Wendi and I hope he made some new friends.
His next effort will be to get his Rally Novice title, we will start practicing next week. I’ll give him a couple of days off :-).
On a puppy update, Ringo will now be know far and wide as Zippy! Travel details are being worked out for him to head to Wisconsin the 1st week of May.
Farm Boy
Ringo has a name…………. Solstice The Flying Farmer. He will not be Ringo for long since in a couple of weeks he will be winging his way to Wisconsin via the Windy City. Ringo will be going to Sharrie and Jake of High Ridge Farm in Monroe County, Wisconsin. He will live on a real farm with real farm animals, what a life for a Cardigan.

We are excited that Ringo has his own people.
Big day………….Outside
Babies got a trip outside, I set up a big Xpen under the fig tree for some time outside. The babies had a good time, they didn’t seem to care about the big old world.

Only the best toys for puppies at Solstice, a big stick and cardboard box.

They had so much fun they all pooped out. Wicca still isn’t sure what to make of them.
National News
Kathy isn’t going to be able to make the nationals at all since her mother is ill.
Some good news from the nationals so far, Pippin, Frost’s mommy was 1st place in herding Cattle both days at the herding trial. Candy’s brother Ryan passed his TDX at the Tracking test and I know he got agility legs too. Some of our other SW friends did well in the Herding trial as well. Barb and Thistle got their Rally Novice title. We were going to try and do it together so I’m glad she was successful.
No good news from the Megan, both PJ and Pippin didn’t make the cut this year, boo! Wendi graciously showed PJ for us and I’ve heard he looked good with her. Once again I’m so thankful he is in their care since Kathy could be there to pick him up.
I’m hoping everyone has a good time in Topeka!
