Pup Date
The babies are escaping their box so it was time to set up their new world. My challenge will be letting Lindy in and keeping the babies from running amok in my bedroom. Lindy tossed her food all around the floor and they thought that was pretty cool. So far they have figured out how to get out of the box but not how to get back in. As soon as I put them back in their box the all passed out.
I was surprised that it was Little Blaze who escaped 1st I really expect Tri Bubba to be 1st since he has been 1st in everything else.
The Frost Report
We had nice weather this weekend so we all worked outside. Momma cleaned the kennel, she said I helped by getting in her way. I also got in a bit of trouble because I kept pulling on Momma’s pant leg. She says all her clothes are now way too big and I shouldn’t pull on her pant leg. I did anyway and her pants came down while we were in the back yard. She is glad we have the privacy fence or the neighbors would have seen her underwear. I don’t think she was very mad since she was laughing.
I tried to help with the yard work, Momma said we were not pruning the trees.
I tried to get Uncle Henry’s bone but he wouldn’t give it to me so I went and pouted under the fig tree.
Momma did let me in to see the babies today, they still aren’t any fun for me and Auntie Lindy bites my nose if I get very close to them so I sat on the bed to look at them. Boring!
Well it was a busy day and I’m going to go to bed, this is the Frost Report,

Whelping stuff
It is hard to believe that it has been a month already since whelping day. Since I haven’t had a litter in almost 7 years there were a lot of things I needed and I’m very happy with the stuff I got for this litter.
I love the Dura-whelp box that I ordered, a bit of an expense but well worth it. I think the next time I’m going to order their heating system since I always worried about the heating pad. I also used their box liners which help with clean up.
The other things that have come in handy are the Snuggle Safe, microwave heating disc, the puppies loved to snuggle with it to keep warm. I also have used the thin fleece pads in the box, easy to wash and good tractions for the little ones.
I started weighing the babies on my food scale in a cake pan but that quickly became a chore as they got wiggly. so I got a puppy sling and scale with worked great.
Of course one of the basic things was a package of 80 shop towels from Costco, being white you can see any little thing on them and they wash as bleach well and you can toss them if they get too nasty.
Once I started feeding them our flying saucer pan has been great and my brother gave me an immersion blender a while back it is fabulous for making puppy mash.
Puppies are a lot of work so anything that makes it easier is wonderful.

The babies had their 1st meeting with the flying saucer bowl, didn’t take them long to figure out there was something interesting in there.
A Frost Report
Hey it’s me Frost!
Gee sometimes it is hard to be me, Saturday was a fun day, got to hang out in the yard all day and not in my pen. Learned I really like mud and if I turn over the outside water I can make mud! Very cool! Momma says we are getting a pool this week. We had visitors too on Saturday which is always fun.
Sunday wasn’t so fun, first Momma put me in the back run with Daddy so she could go back to sleep, boring…. Then she did my toenails with the whirlly thing, yucky. Momma called me a drama queen, last week she called me a weed, this week a drama queen, I thought she loved me. After the toenail thing she put me in the car with Wicca the Tall and we went to the vet. Wicca got a shot and then it was my turn and I got weighed, I weigh 19 pounds, after the scales, they poked me! I didn’t cry because I’m not a drama queen.
Today I got to see the babies, they don’t do much for me but Momma says I’ll like them later. Wicca the Tall picked us some fig leaves and I think that is pretty neat, I don’t know why but we all eat them.
Hope we get our pool soon.

Week Three
Geez is it week 3 already! The Fab (Fat) Four are all growing well. Today they had their 1st taste of outside food. I have a whole can of Esbalic that I haven’t used very much of so I mixed some up for them to try, everyone tried it and of course Bubba Tri was the most excited about it. They are almost completely up on their feet, maybe by the end of the weekend and they are interacting with each other more and yesterday when I came home, Little Blaze sat up looked at me and barked, cute today, maybe not so cute later.

The Name Game
Hello everyone out there in Bloggerland, let’s play the name game. Although it didn’t start out that way all the Solstice Cardigans now have a flying theme to their names. We have Lindy aka Arylan Flying Start, Henry aka Winbuck’s A Means to Fly, PJ aka Ch. Mariel’s Flying Spirit and the baby Frost aka Rockie Top’s Flying Snow.
Now we will have some new kids who will need cool names. I’ve been collecting names for awhile but I know there are some great names out there that I haven’t thought about so let’s hear them! Even if they don’t end up on this litter there are other Cardigans in the future that will need great Flying names. It can be anything with the words Fly, Fying, Flight. Go for it!
A Frost Report
Hey it’s me Frost!
Really just a quick report, things are pretty normal around here, Momma says I’m growing like a weed, I don’t get why I’m a weed, can’t I be a flower? It is almost spring and I want to be a flower.
Speaking of spring, Wicca the Tall taught me about the fig tree, I was already chewing on the branches but the leaves taste good. The tall one pulled some off and we the Cardigans ate them, yummy!
Not only does Momma say I’m a weed but she says I’m spoiled too. She says that Daddy and Uncle Henry and Uncle Stoney let me do whatever I want. I like taking their chewy bones right from their mouths and chew on their faces. I’m also so cute that Miss Barbara brought me a special toy when she came over on Monday. It says I’m cute and that it loves me and I really like it. Henry and Daddy are always trying to take it away but Momma makes them give it back.
I learned to use Grandma’s doggy door so maybe I’ll think about not peeing on her carpet, I don’t know yet.
Momma has let me come in with the puppies and Aunt Lindy is ok as long as I stay on the bed and chew a chewy bone. I’m very busy so I never want to stay still very long.
