The Frost Report

February 18, 2009

frost-stacked-0241

Lots of stuff going on with me:

1 Mom says I weigh almost 13 pounds.

2.  I learned to jump on the sofa which Mom says isn’t good because I can’t jump off and she is always making me get down.

3.  Wicca isn’t as scary as I thought, still scary but fun to chase.

4. Daddy isn’t here but uncle Henry is lots of fun.

5. Lindy will still play with me but she doesn’t want to play much cause she is so fat.

6. I went up and down mini dog walk in the back yard all by myself, I thought it was cool so I did it again.

7. I learned the kitchen is cool, there is food there.

8.  In the kitchen we get to lick plates sometimes and that is really neat.

9.  I got a new crate to sleep in last night cause I out grew my baby crate.

10. I got to help chase a rat, Wicca found it and we all chased her when she chased it, very cool, Mom screamed.

I’m sure I’ll have more to report soon.

Stay cool,

Frost

Cardi Blogger’s weight loss Challenge

February 16, 2009

Ok folks I’m subbing for Laura on the WLC, just 8 weeks plus some days until people are leaving for the nationals, hope everyone is still plugging along on their WLC.  I’m down 2lbs from last week for a total of 72lbs down.  How is everyone else doing?

Missing the Nationals

February 16, 2009

As much as I want to go to the CWCCA Nationals this year and as much as I had planned to go it doesn’t look like I’m going to make it afterall.  Lindy’s litter is due around the 1st of March which would make the babies 5 1/2 weeks old.   I’m not set up to travel with a litter and that is a dangerous time of exposure for the puppies.  So this year I’m going to be a grown up and stay home.

I’m going to miss all my friends and meeting my blogger buddies in person and seeing all the wonderful Cardigans.  I’m sad to miss Marian doing the sweeps.

Kathy and I are working out arrangements for PJ so at least part of the Solstice gang will be there.

I guess we will be trying for PA in 2010 since we will have Frost and hopefully pretty Lindy and Candy babies to show in sweeps.

So I will expect many many many updates from the nationals from those who will be there.

Dogs in action

February 12, 2009

Those of us that live with dogs know the joy and fun that they bring to our lives but most of our companions enrich our world and make us happy but for some they not only make them happy but they allow them freedom and independence.

At the UTEP Miner’s Basketball games they have a program called the CEO of the game where a child comes out on the court and delivers the game ball to the referee prior to the tip off.  Last night’s CEO was a young man who was in a mechanized wheelchair accompanied by his service dog.  The boy was about 10 (I think, I’m not good at guessing kids ages) and the dog was a pretty Golden.  It was so good to see him go out on the court and deliver the ball, you could tell he was thrilled.  There was no parent or adult  helping him, just a boy and his dog.  Amazing, a bunch of tall men bouncing balls, bright lights, cheering crowds, the pep band and cheerleaders.  Kid and dog handled it like pros.

A good reminder of  the power of our canine friends.

Never say Never

February 12, 2009

There is a good chance that you might see me in toy ring in the near future.  My mom has chosen the breed she would like for her new breed.  She used her trips to the dog shows the way you are supposed to and research breeds and breeders.  I told her that is she was going get a dog she might as well get a show potential puppy since the dog would be going to dog shows anyway.  So if you know me and see me in the toy ring in the future don’t faint 🙂

Her breed of choice………… The Brussels Griffon
