Deep thoughts
I feel your eyes,
You know me, the way I breath, the way I move, the thoughts swirling in my head
Each day our souls meld, you become more of me,
I become better,
You are my friend, you are my heart, you are my dog.
The Madness, the Fever!

Where have the Cardis been? Well their mom has spring fever or the better known March Madness! UTEP wins the semi-final!
We will be back to our regular program once the Madness clears.
GO MINERS!
San Francisco here we come……..
Well not for a few months anyway. But the Uberplanner (control freak) me needs a plan, so who wants to help me plan my trip?
On August 4th I fly from El Paso to Sacramento for my annual trip to the Richmond Dog Fanciers show in Dixon, CA. I belong to RDF and always look forward to my trip to Nor Cal. This year will be even more special since my very wonderful friends Linda and Kevin Flynn of Milton, MA will be on the judging panel at RDF. Since we are all together and so close to San Francisco we are taking a week after RDF to visit the city and enjoy a vacation together.
That is where the trip planning comes in. What should 2 Eastcoaster and a Texan make sure to see/do while in the area? Alcatraz & the Muir woods are on the list. We will be there for 5 days, Monday thru Friday and we all fly home on Saturday 😦
Help the Uberplanner (I prefer that description to control freak).
Ok I’m joining the blog hop this Saturday – I hope this works with adding the codes and things. Remember I’m a techo dork so I never really know what I’m doing. If they don’t work just go here http://lifewithdogs.tv/ to join the fun.

Faster than a speeding bullet
It is a Frapfest! Banner and Frost in a crazy run with the Poopies trying to follow along. Notice Banner never drops her toy during the entire run.
How the heck did he do that? The Great Stonedini!
I really wish I had a photo of our early morning excitement but I wasn’t really thinking about the camera at 1:30am
To set the stage, at our house the older dogs Stoney (10) Wicca the GSP (9) and Lindy (5.5) are the “house” dogs and get to sleep loose in the house. The rest of the gang sleep in their crates in the kennel room. Stoney and Wicca really don’t like each other. Wicca the GSP thinks she should be the only dog and Stoney is a grouchy old man so they live in a weird sort of harmony. At night Wicca is the bed dog and Stoney and Lindy sleep on the floor/dogbeds. Stoney really prefers under the bed. He and Wicca then growl at each other, she from on top, he from down under.
So now the story about our morning excitement, about 12:30am Stoney starts making growly noises from under the bed. Now Stonehead is a talker. (He was actually nominated for an AKC ACE award for his “talking” and alert barking which let us know that my Grandmother had fallen in the yard.) I of course told him to “shut up Stoney” and went back to sleep. A while later he started up again and was making some weird arrroo and woo woo noises so I got up and called him out from under the bed. He wouldn’t come out.
I kicked the girls out of the bed room and started to move the bed and I found him in a funny situation. Some how while doing laundry I had dropped my long sleeve CWCCA national T-Shirt on the floor and Stoney had pulled it under the bed and proceeded to get his entire body in one of the sleeves. Now those of you who have this T-shirt know there is ribbing at the sleeves. His head was poking out the end of the sleeve and the rest of his body was stuffed in the sleeve he looked like a sausage in a casing.
I don’t have a clue how he managed to get in the sleeve while under the bed. Is he practicing for a Vegas act? Is it an escape trick gone wrong? Was he planning to open a show?
After I figured out how do get him out of the shirt without cutting of the sleeve (pulled him out like you would a little kid out a sweater) he gave me a “thanks Mom” look and calmly went to the water bowl for a drink.
Of course there are now toenail holes in one of my favorite shirts and since they went out at 1:30am they were content to sleep in and I over slept this morning. But all in all it was just a weird adventure in Cardis, no harm no foul, but how the heck did he do that?
Happy 2nd Birthday Babies!
Puppy K
We took the girls to Puppy K today at K9Funworks http://k9funworks.angelfire.com/. This was their 1st time out except our two trips to the vet and their road trip to see Daddy Harry at Arylan. They all did well and seem to take it in stride.
Cody (Mom to Charlie and Bonnie) went along as a puppy wrangler and Ginger (Mom) and Sienna went to their Good Manners class.
It is interesting to see how different they all are, each puppy has had exactly the same experiences in their 1st 12 weeks. This was the 1st time they have been asked to “work”.
Einie, Cody has charge of Einie for the duration of our class. Einie is going to Tara and Tim as a potential performance companion. She was very thrilled to be there, interested in both people and dogs but willing to try to work with Cody. Cody said she loves a food motivated puppy. Tara, Cody will be giving you a training report 🙂
Betty, Cody and I both took turns with Betty, she was patient and interested while waiting her turn in the Xpen and was very pleased to see both the people and the other dogs but not so pleased to be asked to walk on a lead. Betty showed a bit of a stubborn streak. She seems to want to be a pampered pooch. Seems like Pinup Girl is a good name fit for her.
FiFi, I worked with FiFi and she was happy to see the people but a bit worried about the other dogs. She threw a bit of a temper tantrum when I first asked her to walk on the lead but then she chose to play along. She did really well on the recall.
Since I have to work next Sat. Cody will be taking Einie by herself and then I’ll take the other girls to one of the other classes Dina offers just for socialization.
All in all I was happy with their attitudes and am looking forward to our next class together.
Better than Screaming “Don’t open that Damn Door!”

I just ordered these for home and the road. I’m taking a pack of Cardigans to the CWCCA Nationals in Houston in April and I’m sure some of these will come in handy. You can get your own or see what else is on the website by clicking on the link.
Ears Up!
Yes I stole this photo of handsome Rider from Harry at Arylan.com.You can see more of the pretty boy at www.arylan.com.
Rider is the 1st of the poopies with two ears up. Sister Einie has one half way up and I expect to see some additional lift any day now from FiFi and Betty.
The sisters celebrated Wednesday by wearing collars and having their nails dremeled. They were not pleased but I think they forgave me.
